WHO IS BEHIND PODOKS?

Drs. Alfonso Martínez Nova and Fran Monzó lead a team with more than 30 years of experience in biomechanics and podiatric research.

A keen interest and passion for sport have led them to design a sock that combines science and running experience.

In this video they explain how they made it possible.

WHO IS BEHIND PODOKS?

Dr. Fran Monzó

Expert in biomechanical podiatry, clinical pathology in sports, and lower limb pathology and orthopedics.

He has completed his training at specialized centers at the Complutense University of Madrid, the European University of Madrid, and Miguel Hernández University.

Dr. Alfonso Martínez

He holds a diploma and master's degree in surgical podiatry from the University of Barcelona and a degree from CESPU CRL in Portugal.

He is one of the leading podiatric researchers in technical hosiery, with fifty articles published in leading scientific journals.

David Lucas

David has been chosen as one of the brightest young people under 30 by Emprendedores magazine.

He has participated in three of Spain's most important accelerators: Lanzadera, La Nave, and UCAM HiTech. He has developed seven patents in four years and won two national awards.

Podoks combines science, experience and innovation to care for your feet in a unique and effective way.

Thanks to more than 30 years of research in biomechanics and podiatric health, we have developed a sock that is not just an accessory, but a therapeutic tool that improves your well-being.

Hallux wedge

Padding and separation of the
First finger
provides a more secure grip and a more energetic and effective digital push. Longer stride and better push.

2nd to 5th metatarsal piece

Forefoot padding from the second to the fifth metatarsal that controls tension in the plantar fascia and plantar muscles of the foot, thus reducing fatigue.

COMPRESSIVE ARCH BAND

Extra compression elastic band on the inner arch that increases the dynamic stability of the foot, generating a more secure and effective step.

HEEL CUSHION

Heel padding reduces impact with each stride, promoting better cushioning while running.

Without Podoks – Plantar pressure on the left foot, wearing its own sock, in a patient with hyperpressure on the first metatarsal head associated with mild hyperkeratosis beneath it.

With Podoks – In the same patient with Podoks, normalization of the forefoot strike pattern is observed, as well as a separation of the first toe from the second, improving its biomechanical function.

REDUCES PLANTAR PRESSURE

In addition to reducing dynamic plantar pressure under the first metatarsal head by 25% thanks to Podoks technology, it also reduces pressure on the big toe by 23% thanks to the Hallux wedge.

Benefits of Podoks

✔️ Reduces pressure on the plantar fascia and relieves pain.
✔️ Improves the stability of the arch of the foot, preventing overloads.
✔️ Reduces muscle fatigue and promotes a more efficient stride.
✔️ Smart compression technology that stimulates circulation.

Suitable for:

✔️ Plantar fasciitis.
✔️ Muscle fatigue.
✔️ Heel spur.
✔️ Open foot sensation.
✔️ Metatarsalgia.
✔️ Problems with gait mechanics.

Why choose Podoks?

Unlike other athletic socks, Podoks are designed with patented biomechanical elements that improve alignment and reduce stress on the plantar fascia. Its elastic band around the inner arch provides support and stabilization, while special padding in the heel and metatarsal cushions impact and improves stride biomechanics. This is why they reduce pain caused by plantar fasciitis by 38%.
